A fine evening of competitive boules (after we found some to play with) and excellent food & service from the Chequers. Winners Mike & Mark accepted the trophy (freshly made and still a bit wet).

AGM held at Old Bull, Royston started 28 April 2016, ended some time later

• Welcomed 4 new members: David Telford, Glenn Foulger, Ian Larkins & AJ.
• Under the leadership of Tony Piper a full committee was elected, including a wine officer!

41-Club members Ian Dunklin, AJ and Angus took part in the Round Table Hike & Bike challenge in the Peak District. Came 3rd overall (and there were more than 3 teams!). (Ian’s not pictured below – he was in the other team.)

41 Club worked with Royston Round Table to raise funds for Children in Need.

Chairman Darren Lane hands over cheque to Andy of Open House Project.

Funds were raised from a dinner hosted in October 2015 at which Sara Khan was the after dinner speaker. A superb night, raising over £2,000 for local and national causes. Open House was one of the recipients, the others being SKCIN, and The Stroke Association, with some funds for future donations.

Members tried their hand at dancing, although the youngsters took centre stage and the 41C members being less visible.

Tablers were thoughtful, offering to use footballs instead of golf balls – easier to see.
